  • What is the Elements film festival?

ELEMENTS is an environmental film and events festival that takes place annually in April in Vancouver Canada at TELUS World of Science. It’s a showcase of the best environmental films from British Columbian, Canadian and International filmmakers. There’s something for all ages, featuring wildlife, conservation and political action films, special events, guest speakers and expert discussion panels.

  • How do I get there?

We are easy to find!

Take transit! TELUS World of Science is located directly across from the Main Street- Science World SkyTrain Station.

We are only five minutes away from downtown Vancouver and conveniently located along the False Creek seawall walking and biking path.

The Aquabus and False Creek Ferries make stops near TELUS World of Science.

If you choose to drive, we are easily accessible from both Highway 99 (from Washington State) and the Trans-Canada Highway

  • When does the Elements film festival take place?

Elements 2019 takes place from April 8-14, 2019.

  • On April 8-12, teachers may book their class into an Elements film screening and discussion where students can also participate in filming a short documentary.

  • On April 11, 12 and 13, Elements presents EVENING film screenings and keynote speakers for ages 19+.

  • On April 13 and 14, Elements has a full slate of DAYTIME film sessions that are FREE with Science World admission. Screenings run from 11am to 6pm.

  • Can I enjoy Science World at the same time?

Yes! On April 13 and 14, all DAYTIME Elements programming is included with admission to TELUS World of Science.

  • Is your programming appropriate for children?

Children are welcome to attend all daytime film screenings on Saturday April 13 and Sunday April 14. Parents should consult the film guide. All evening events are for ages 19+.

  • Do you sell a festival pass?

Yes, a Festival Pass is available that includes evening events and weekend daytime screenings. Refer to the TICKETS AND PASSES page to purchase. Available until Apr 6.

  • Do I need to create an online account to buy tickets?

Yes. We use Eventive’s ticketing system to manage the schedule, film guide, and purchase of tickets. This provides a simple and fast way to purchase tickets.

  • Do I need to print my ticket?

  • Go Green! Rather than print your tickets, save a tree and we will scan your tickets on your phone (Or just print out the attached PDF and present it at the door).

  • What happens if there are changes to the program?

All programs are subject to change. Please check our online schedule for the latest information. 

  • What is your refund policy?

    No refunds are available, except in the case of program cancellation.

  • What is a membership for?

The Elements Film Festival is operated by the Elements International Environmental Film Festival Society, a non-profit society registered in BC. To attend evening screenings and events, you must be 19+ in accordance with Consumer Protection and liquor license regulations. A membership fee is mandatory and can be purchased at the door.
